This is the “cutting edge” of Castello di Poppiano: a “Supertuscan” where Tuscan tradition and Tuscan innovation meet each other.
Grape varieties Sangiovese 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon, 40%, Merlot 20%.
Wine making Process fermentation in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatureof 27-28°C, 18-20 days maceration.
Maturing and Aging in vats, then at least 24 months in French oak barriques (Allier) and in bottle for at least 4 months.
Alcohol 13.5 – 14.5 % Vol.
Tasting Notes very intense dark ruby color with purple hues, elegant, well balanced: light vanilla nose with balsamic notes, impressive powerful body, rich, with soft tannins and subtle elegant lively texture. Longlasting, full tasty finish.
