The most representative wine of the Castello di Poppiano tradition, a selection of “Chianti Colli Fiorentini” of the best vintages. Since the Renaissance period, from these territories, the noblest Florentine families used to buy the best quality wines. Riserva matures in oak casks in the cellar of the Castle.

Grape varieties: Sangiovese and complementary grapes

Fermentation and Aging: in stainless steel vats and then in oak casks.

Tasting Notes: dark ruby with slightly garnet hues, complex aromatic impact, full bodied with noticeable tannins, intense but subtle texture, well harmonized with a well tempered alcohol. Pleasant, full balanced finish.

Pairings: grilled, roasted or stewed red meats (beef, pork, game, lamb). Particularly suitable with complex structure, fat and flavor food (stewed beef).
